Ναι, τέλος με την μπράντα Nokia. Τα κινητά πλέον θα έχουν σαν logo το Microsoft αντί για Windows και ένα “Windows” μόνο θα φαίνεται. Την είδηση ήρθε από ένα site που ονομάζεται My Go και είχε Windows branding σε ένα unlinked micrsosite της official website.
Εκεί, με τίτλο “CONFIDENTIAL – Internal Use Only” σε banner φαίνεται το 4.7-inch GoFone GF47W με Windows Phone 8.1 και σε high-resolution εικόνες το Windows logo και ΟΧΙ το Windows Phone logo.
Όπως λέει και το Verge: “the shift to just the Windows name appears to be a move by Microsoft in preparation for a combined version of Windows RT and Windows Phone due next year. As the future operating system will run across phones and small tablets, it wouldn’t make sense keeping the Windows Phone brand for devices that are clearly not phones.”
