Ο Sir Clive Sinclair λοιπόν μαζί με την Retro Computers Ltd λανσάρουν το Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega+ μέσα από μια καμπάνια στο Indiegogo που ήδη έχει σπάσει τα ταμεία!
Τι είναι;
Το Vega+ το περιγράφει ως “the world’s only hand-held LCD games console with 1,000 licensed games inside that can also connect to your TV!!” Τα games είναι original Sinclair ZX Spectrum και το Vega+ θα τρέχει “every Spectrum game that exists, 14,000 or more of them from the past”.
Για να κοστίζει £100 ο Sir Clive και η Retro Computers χρησιμοποιούν “a fast but low cost micro-controller with software designed and developed by a leading world expert on Sinclair Spectrum technology”. Η ομάδα ήδη χτύπησε τα £300k και είναι “one of the most successful Indiegogo Campaigns of all time” κατά το δελτίο τύπου.
Ο concept design σχεδιασμός του σασί είναι του κου Rick Dickinson, σχεδιαστή των Sinclair ZX80, ZX81, ZX Spectrum και QL.
