…αν έχετε το μάτι και το ‘χέρι’ στον σχεδιασμό αυτοκινήτων.
Η Michelin στον διαγωνισμό του 2013 για το Design Challenge της, έχει δώσει τον τίτλο“HALF! Lightweight with a Passion” και ζητά ένα ελαφρύ οικογενειακό όχημα.
Μετά τον φουτουριστικό στόχο για τον διαγωνισμό του 2012, όπου οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν να σχεδιάσουν ένα αστικό όχημα για το 2046, το Michelin Design Challenge του 2013 έχει σαν στόχο την βιωσιμότητα και την ενεργειακή αυτονομία των οχημάτων.
Ζητά από τους σχεδιαστές να δημιουργήσουν ένα ελαφρύ όχημα με τη χρήση εστιασμένων επιλογών σε υλικά και τεχνολογίες.
The competition is open to individual designers, independent and OEM design studios, design students and automotive suppliers.
Τα projects θα κριθούν με βάση την σχετικότητα με το concept, την πρωτοτυπία και την ποιότητα αλλά και τη πιθανότητα ανάπτυξης.
Για όσους ενδιαφέρεστε η εγγραφή ξεκινά από την 1η Οκτώβρη του 2011 και θα διαρκέσει μέχρι και την 1η Ιουνίου του 2012.
Το brief του διαγωνισμού:
“As consumers and governments push for dramatic gains in fuel efficiency, the automotive industry is looking to design and develop lightweight next-generation vehicles.”
“Designers create the inspirational forms that drive desire for vehicle ownership, but they will also contribute to lightweight vehicle development through materials choices and using the most effective manufacturing techniques. Successful design relies on closer cooperation between design, engineering, manufacturing and planning than ever before.”
“Participants are asked to explore lightweight vehicle development by designing a family vehicle capable of transporting between four and six people, meeting consumer demands for safety and comfort, usable on the current road infrastructure, and production feasible using materials, powertrain solutions, or manufacturing solutions that are in use today or in development for use in the foreseeable future.”
“Michelin is looking for exciting and passionate designs that employ innovative vehicle architecture for weight reduction, without compromising safety or comfort. The vehicle’s lightweight characteristics must extend to the tire/wheel assembly, including dimensional specifications and visual detail of the tire/wheel assembly.”
