For disc authoring, videos are transferred from a camcorder or other device to the internal hard drive (which stores up to 24 hours of HD footage), then assembled into a completed project and recorded to Blu-ray disc via a simple, menu-driven interface.
The JVC SR-HD2500US features USB and i.Link (IEEE-1394) ports, as well as a SDHC card slot, for compatibility with a wide variety of digital sources. Composite and S-Video inputs are included to provide support for legacy analog devices. There are also HD-SDI, HDMI, and component outputs for flexible monitoring, and a RS-232 port for external control. The SR-HD2500US has a suggested list price of $3,995. JVC will showcase the new combo deck at the 2012 NAB Show (Booth C4314), which runs April 16-19 in Las Vegas, Nev.
