Το Nintendo Wii U όπως και το Xbox 720 και το PlayStation 4 θα είναι οι τελευταίες κονσόλες hardware όπως λέει το αφεντικό της Nvidia στον χώρο του cloud gaming.
Ο κος Phil Eisle του GeForce Grid Cloud Gaming department, λέει πως η βελτίωση των τεχνολογιών και η μείωση σε κόστη server θα σημαίνουν πως η εμπειρία streaming θα είναι κυρίαρχη και όπως είπε στο VentureBeat σε συνέντευξη: “The thing about the consoles … they say this is the last console, and I am certainly a believer in that. The last one is almost 10 years old now in terms of the technology. “The good thing about cloud gaming is it’s going to get better every year. One of the reasons we’re investing in it is we see that there are some issues today, but they’re all solvable, and they’re all moving in the right direction.
Τι πιστεύετε; έχει δίκιο; με το bandwidth να βελτιώνεται θα συμβεί κάτι τέτοιο; πάντως η Nvidia επενδύει έντονα στο cloud gaming σε συνεργασία με την Galkai και τα GeForce Grid unit προσπαθούν να μειώσουν την network latency για να φτάσουν το hardware των κονσολών ενώ ψάχνουν συμφωνίες για “first-run content.”
