Στη Βρετανία το British Film Institute και με βάση ένα project που ονομάζεται “Film Forever” θα ψηφιοποιήσει 10,000 τίτλους από μια αποθήκη 450,000 ταινιών το 2017 για να βγούνε on-demand.
Οι ταινίες λένε πως θα είναι διαθέσιμες από τηλεοπτικά κανάλια, μια mobile app και έναν νέο video player, το BFIPlayer.
“Film Forever is founded on a renewed commitment to the future — the future generation of audiences, the future generation of filmmakers and the opportunities presented by digital technologies,” λέει η BFI CEO κα Amanda Nevill ενώ στο website όλοι θα μπορούν να samplάρουν τις ταινίες.
Το κόστος θα είναι μεγαλύτερο από $800 εκατομμύρια συνολικά…
