Πρέπει να είναι άσχημα τα πράγματα με τα Windows 8…
Ναι μεν έρχεται το Windows 8.1 update τον Απρίλη, αλλά από το 2012 που ήρθε το σύστημα, δεν έχει ανταποκριθεί το βασικό στοιχείο: το κοινό. Έτσι η Microsoft ετοιμάζει το νέο της OS για να φύγει από την εποχή του 8.x κατά τον κο Paul Thurrott.
Όπως γράφει ο κος Thurrott:
Windows 8 is tanking harder than Microsoft is comfortable discussing in public, and the latest release, Windows 8.1, which is a substantial and free upgrade with major improvements over the original release, is in use on less than 25 million PCs at the moment. That’s a disaster, and Threshold needs to strike a better balance between meeting the needs of over a billion traditional PC users while enticing users to adopt this new Windows on new types of personal computing devices.
Τι διαφορές θα έχει;
Το λειτουργικό με το όνομα “Threshold” ξέρουμε πως έχει Start menu, το νέο σχέδιο Metro 2.0 ενώ θα τρέχει Metro-style apps στο desktop με desktop apps.
