Και ειδικά την αμυντική τους βιομηχανία. Η Saab λοιπόν, δημιουργός του μαχητικού Gripen ετοίμασε το IRST (Infra Red Search and Track) επιπλέον σύστημα που θα έχει το Gripen E για ανίχνευση στόχως όπως κάνει το Su-27 και τα παράγωγά του.
“The first flight in the Gripen E test aircraft with IRST has been performed with very good results. Multiple targets were detected, tracked and identified and the system works perfectly as expected. IRST is a new sensor on Gripen, which allows pilots to see great distances in several directions,” όπως είπε ο άνθρωπος της Saab, ο Wing Commander Flying Hans Einerth.
