Η Sony φαίνεται πως δεν μπορεί να ικανοποιήσει τις ανάγκες σε τεμάχια της αγοράς για το next-gen computer entertainment σύστημα της, το PlayStation 4 και αποκάλυψε πως η κονσόλα ακόμη είναι σε έλλειψη στην Ευρώπη.
Η Ιάπωνας γίγαντας του hardware και του software δεν μπόρεσε να ικανοποιήσει τη ζήτηση για PlayStation 4 για όλη την Ευρώπη κατά τον UK Managing Director της Sony Computer Entertainment, Fergal Gara.
“We haven’t yet caught up with the initial demand across Europe. We are still dealing with the day one market,” είπε στο TrustedReviews.
“We are very close to being in a full supply situation, but we are not quite there yet,” συμπλήρωσε και περιέγραψε πως η αλυσίδα παραγωγής του PlayStation 4 είναι κοντά στο να καλύψει τη ζήτηση. Η Sony δεν μας έχει δώσει update στα νούμερα για το PlayStation 4 πρόσφατα αλλά ο Gara είπε πως “is still selling, and selling very well.”

“We are in a bit better shape in the UK, but there are countries that are still selling out every last unit that drops into the market on a weekly basis. A good example at the moment would be Germany who had phenomenal sales figures last week, but they just haven’t had enough stock so far,” αποκάλυψε.
Αν και ο περιορισμός σε πωλήσεις PlayStation 4 δίχως το stock μπορεί να είναι θέμα με τον ανταγωνισμό, ο Gara θεωρεί πως είναι θέμα “no consequence” με τις επερχόμενες γιορτές να είναι το σημείο αιχμής:
“We have spent a lot of time at E3 talking about the plan for Christmas and I think we’ve got enough exciting content to be able to rekindle that interest. Anyone who may have said ‘forget about it, I will leave it for a while,’ I think we have enough of a story now to say to them that they should reassess,” σημείωσε.
