Η Toshiba Corporation συμφώνησε να αγοράσει το τμήμα της IBM point-of-sale (POS) για $850m εκατομμύρια.
Τα συστήματα POS χρησιμοποιούνται για συναλλαγές σε διάφορα σημεία ενώ το όλο deal θα κάνει την Toshiba τον μεγαλύτερο POS system provider.
“Toshiba Tec enjoys a strong presence in retail store solutions in Asia-Pacific, including Japan, and we are confident that this acquisition will support expansion in North America, Europe and the emerging economies,” είπε ο κος Norio Sasaki, Πρόεδρος και CEO της Toshiba.
