Φέτος είναι ο Πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Barack Obama καθώς: “Through crises and gridlock, President Barack Obama kept the trust of the American people – and won a chance to rekindle the hope that inspired a nation.”
ΑΛΛΑ, και ο Apple CEO Tim Cook είναι δεύτερος επιλαχών, runner-up για το 2012 Person of the Year, μαζί με την Πακιστανή μαθήτρια Malala Yousafzai. “Acting Apple CEO for two years, Tim Cook has presided over one of the most prosperous periods in the company’s history,” λέει ο κος Scherer.
