Το λανσάρισμα του Office Mobile για iPhone είναι γεγονός. Μια μάλλον περιορισμένη σε δυνατότητες app ώστε ιδιοκτήτες της ναυαρχίδας της Apple να δημιουργούν και να κάνουν edit σε έγραφα.
Η app όμως είναι μόνο διαθέσιμη για τους Office 365 Home Premium και τους Office 365 ProPlus συνδρομητές.
Με άλλα λόγια ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να έχεις συνδρομή ώστε η app να είναι δωρεάν στο App Store. Το δε Office Mobile for iPhone είναι παρόμοιο με άλλες εκδόσεις για τα Windows Phones και κάνεις sign στο Office 365 account για πρόσβαση και edit σε Microsoft Word, Excel και PowerPoint documents.
Η app είναι optimized για small-screen συσκευές όπως το iPhone: “For instance, the Slide Navigator allows you to page through PowerPoint presentations fast while Speaker Notes help you practice presentations on the go. When reviewing Word documents on your phone, the Resume Reading feature takes you to the exact point in the document where you left off on your computer so you never miss a beat,” λέει η Microsoft ενώ το Office Mobile for iPhone έχει ενσωματωμένη sharing option για save σε documents στα SkyDrive και SkyDrive Pro ενώ το στέλνεις και σε email attachment.
“Because Office Mobile is from Microsoft, your formatting and layout remain intact when viewing, editing or adding comments, thanks to support for charts, animations, SmartArt graphics and shapes. When you return to your PC or Mac your document looks like it should,” the company added.
No iPad support is available for the time being, but Microsoft will most likely release a tablet-optimized version of the app by the end of the year. Check out the video below for a short presentation of the new Office Mobile for iPhone.
