…Ethan Hunt έχουν τίτλο. Η ταινία για την ώρα ονομάζεται “Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One”. Αυτό έδειξε η Paramount Pictures στην παρουσία της στην CinemaCon.
Ο ηθοποιός δεν ήταν εκεί, παρέδωσε όμως ένα “special message” από ένα ιστορικό αεροπλάνο κόκκινο στα πλατώ του “Mission Impossible” όπως μετέφερε το The Hollywood Reporter.
“Hey everyone,”, είπε ο Cruise, “wish I could be there with you. I’m sorry for the extra noise. As you can see, we are filming the latest installment of Mission: Impossible.”
O τίτλος ανακοινώθηκε και ο σκηνοθέτης Christopher McQuarrie τον ενημέρωσε μετά πως πρέπει να βγει από το… αεροπλάνο για γύρισμα..
Μαζί με τον Tom Cruise είναι και οι: Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby και Frederick Schmidt. Από την άλλη, για πρώτη φορά έχουμε τους ηθοποιούς Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss και Cary Elwes.
Ο McQuarrie σκηνοθετεί πάλι ενώ είχε σκηνοθετήσει και το 5ο και το 6ο φίλμ, τα Rogue Nation (2015) και Fallout (2018) με το τελευταία να τσιμπά $800 από τις εισπράξεις της βιομηχανίας.

“The footage opens with Cruise holding onto a plane for dear life as it flies over a canyon in South Africa when a mysterious voice says “your days of fighting for the greater good are over. You need to pick a side.” Characters shown include Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson (with an eye patch), Henry Czerny’s return, and Vanessa Kirby. The footage also showed a horse chase (a first for the franchise), motorcycle chases (a frequent staple in the series), tons of Tom Cruise running, a fight on a train (as teased in previously released images), and the massive stunt of Cruise launching off a cliff on a motorcycle in Norway, which the actor called “far and away the most dangerous thing I’ve attempted.”
Το “Μission Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” αναμένεται στις αίθουσες στις 14 Ιουλίου 2023 και η επόμενη ταινία θα βγει στις 28 Ιουνίου 2024.
Τα “Mission: Impossible” έχουν αθροιστικά $3.5 δις εισπράξει στο box office από το 1996.
